Data recovery : Process

1. Telephone contact.

The ideal is a telephone contact. We could indeed ask you some questions to identify your problem and give you a price range quickly.

To save time, you can already prepare some answers :

- Type of support :
disque dur IDE, disque dur SCSI, DVD, memory stick, memory pen, zip, etc.

- Brand of your hard drive:
IBM, Maxtor, Seagate, Quantum, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Toshiba, Quantum, Western Digital, LaCie, HP Hewlett Packard, Samsung, etc.

- Type of computer :
PC, Mac, laptop, server, system RAID 0, RAID1, RAID5, etc.

- O/S (operating system):
Linux, Macintosh, Novell, Windows 95-98-2000-XP..., Unix, etc.

- Type of failure :
noisy hard disk, unbootable hard drive, blue screen, hard drive unrecognized by the BIOS, erasure of data, formatting, etc.

2. Confirmation of the terms in writing.

We'll then send a contract intervention by mail or fax, in which we remind you the price range provided by telephone. We join a simple questionnaire about your magnetic medium as well as your company's details.

3. Sending of your support.

If you agree with our conditions, you send your support with the filed questionnaire to our laboratories (the address will be precised in the questionnaire ; see our details in the section : contacts).

NOTE : Protect your support. If it's a hard drive, put it, if it's possible, in an antistatic envelope, and then wrap it in a box or several padded envelopes reinforced by example. If it's a server or RAID system, the ideal is to send it in its original packaging. The RAID system must be sent with his controller card, drivers and configuration (the number and size of blocks, the order of hard drives).

4. Diagnostic and result of data recoverying.

It usually takes between 1 and 3 days to obtain the result (temporary or definitive) of the diagnosis. The deadline for data recovery varies between 1 week and 1 day as the case. Once the data recovery is complete, we send you evidence of recovery by email or fax (screenshots showing examples of directories and files to recover).
